Founding

The Lords Club International was founded in Houston, Texas in 2004, by a circle of accomplished gentlemen led by our first Chairman, Dr. Alonzo Ugboaja. Lords Club International (LCI) was formed on the premise of business intentions. It is profit oriented with a strong professional membership from all walks of life — from medical doctors, health professionals, professors, lawyers, engineers and other business tycoons. Over the years, the strength and unity of the club has been unshakeable and growing stronger since inception. Our sincere gratitude and honor goes to all our past leaders and all those who have served the club in various capacities. Their leadership and the commitment of our distinguished members has led to a cohesive, strong organization that has grown into one of the best social clubs in Houston, TX, USA.

Our Motto: "People of Like Minds"

Membership in the Lords Club has benefits that encompass support for living benefits (celebrations, sickness, support etc.) and bereavement benefits. We have also embarked on community-based projects and support for local candidates.

The resolve and strength of the Lords Club were tested during the Covid-19 pandemic. Through it all, our members demonstrated exceptional spirit of commitment, oneness, devotion and faith in the club. We have started our expansion to other cities with the induction of our first Dallas member, Dr. Remigius Ihekweaba, in 2022, and are in active discussions with many other areas.

Our halls have welcomed industry pioneers, public servants, artists, and thinkers. What unites them is not status, but a shared devotion to integrity, ambition, and the refinement of life's craft.
